The Hero's Comeback

When Naruto finally finished it's filler arc two weeks ago I thought that i was dreaming. That crappy old filler ending?! Here i thought it would never come to pass! However it has and here we are three episodes in and i'm lovin it.

I have to say that they chose a good intro song for Shippuuden, "Hero's Comeback" as it really is just that. After so many episodes of horrid stoy, no plot, and rancid missions it really is Naruto's comeback. Returning to what made it a popular show in the first place is proabbly the best thing that the show has experienced thus far.

Metal Maddness

Full Metal Panic is another anime which i really love, mainly because of how funny the main character Sagara Souske reacts to situations.

For those of you that don't know FMP is a show about a girl named "Kaname Chidori" who has to be protected and put under surveillance. The military organization "Mithril" sends their youngest soldier Sagara to do this because being 17 he can attend classes and befriend the unaware high school girl while protecting her from possible danger. It's a good idea but the problem is that Sagara has been raised as a very stiff mechanical military soldier from birth and has never lived in a civilian environment. This is a recipe for disaster or rather tons of slapstick humor. Sagara constantly reacts to simple incidents with drastic military procedures and after it's come clear that he won't leave Kaname alone for a moment she's stuck with trying to keep him in line.

The first season of 24 episodes was popular enough to Spawn two sequel series following in linear order.

  • Full Metal Panic!

  • FMP: Fumoffu!

  • FMP: The Second Raid

Though the second and third seasons were only 13 episodes each they were each as good as the first. However while the first season was well balanced between the military action and story that developed Fumoffu was almost pure comedy and TSR was marly all serious action and plot. While I believe the second and third seasons to be not as good as the first they were still very good. I only wish there were more of the show.

This time instead of openings I'm going to leave you with trailers for the three respective seasons.

Substance

Hmm hmm hmm Another trailer that i love. This is honestly the best i have ever seen in my life... ok that may be exagerating but it's one of my favourites. It's the top of the line for getting your attention. Every time I watch it I wanna go back and play MGS2 over again.

Tenjho Tenge

one of the better and more intresting intros that I have ever seen is the opening to the anime Tenjho Tenge. I'm not shure why but it really gets my attention. That may be because of how different it is. The characters jumping out of their manga frames and then the dancing that they do is very alternative compared to what you usually see. The show itself was a little lacking as it seems that the manga wasn't far enough along since the show just kinda had no ennding more than it just stoped. Outside of that the show wasn't that bad.

Star Collisions

Moving away from shuffle since that's all i've blogged on for the past few posts i'll chage genere gears.

Kaleido Star is an anime that i kinda wonder why i like it. Just from the general premis you can tell that it's aimed at a female audience yet I like it quite a bit. The show is built for a younger crowd but obviously it's design is also ment for girls since the men are "pretty boys" (save for the character Kalos that is). I suppose i'll never understand why i like so many chick flicks. All that's left now is to figure out if that's bad for who I am.

Learning Japane- err English.

Regardless of how you look at this you can learn a lot of vocabulary in these two videos. I have to admit those girls do a rather good job. I learned a few words from this myself even though i already study vocab.

Shuffle! Memories

Well, what can i say i'm a shuffle maniac and i honestly proabbly can't get enough of it. I became so fixed on it i took the time to play through the dating game the show was based off of. Trust me it wasn't easy but with a kanji dictionary in hand i got through it somehow.

Anyway "Shuffle! Memories" the sequal is intresting and even though the openigns are reather spolier based for the game endings i don't thik it hurts to show them here. The intresting thing is that Kaede's intro uses her song from the OST which I tracked down after long hours of searching. Here i was seeing it for the first time and i was humming along because i already knew the tune. Maybe this is a bad sign?
